Carbon with PTFE packing

Carbon braided with PTFE packing

As its name implies, this packing is braided from carbon fiber which is covered with silicon and Teflon oil. Carbon fibers have higher thermal resistance and higher friction coefficient than fiberglass and Kevlar fibers. This packing could be stable at various temperatures so it has various friction coefficients. Another feature of this packing is high tensile strength in compare with its weight, so that, it has one-third of steel weight but is 5-10 times stronger.  Carbon braided with PTFE packing can be used for sealing in environment with 50-650°C span of temperature. Some features of this packing: high mechanical and thermal strength, high resistant to x-ray and chemical materials, and can be used in acidic an alkaline environments. One important feature in this packing is mixture of a layer of PTFE and silicon oil on each carbon fiber that leads to use in volatile liquids (except strong acids, organic solvent and fluids). This product should not use in pollutant areas like: floating and centrifugal pumps and valves. Other applications of Carbon braided with PTFE packing:

Using for sealing machines in food industries, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, refineries

Using for variety of pumps and mixers.

It should be noted that Carbon braided with PTFE packing can be supplied in both wired and wireless type in quadrangular sections and in standard dimension in Pars Industry Refractory store.
